EVERGREEN
Backcountry skiing is one of the most dangerous sports in the world, avalanches reguarly kill recreationlists. I completed my Avalanche Safety Training Level 1 and Companion Rescue Skills course with Evergreen Backcountry Guides in Hakuba Japan and throughout the three day course I documented the expereince through video and photo to help promote the course, raising awareness about avalanches and helping prevent unnecessary loss of life.
In addition to my work with Evergreen Backcountry Guides, I also collaborated with the Evergreen Alpine Academy, which focuses on training ski and snowboard instructors to achieve their Level 1, 2, and 3 certifications. My role involved documenting the rigorous training process, capturing both the technical skill development and the dedication of aspiring instructors. Through video and photography, I showcased the professionalism and expertise of the Academy’s programs, highlighting their commitment to producing highly skilled instructors who can lead safely and effectively in the alpine environment. This work helped promote the Academy’s offerings and inspire others to pursue their goals in the ski industry.
